8.—(1) This regulation applies where under [assimilated direct legislation] [, or legislation referred to in [paragraph 7(2)(b)] of Schedule 1 to the Direct Payments to Farmers (Legislative Continuity) Act 2020,] a document requires to be, or may be, laid before the Northern Ireland Assembly.
(2) The delivery of a copy of the document to the Business Office of the Assembly is, for all purposes, to be taken to be the laying of it before the Assembly.
