6.  For Article 1, substitute—

“Subject matter and purpose U.K.

1.   This Regulation lays down rules for novel foods placed on the market within [F1 Great Britain] .

2.   The purpose of this Regulation is to ensure a high level of protection of human health and consumers' interests.”.
