The Secretary of State for Education makes the following Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84(1) and (3), 84A(1) and (3), 90(2) and 104(2) of the Childcare Act 2006(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Childcare (Correction to Miscellaneous Amendments) (England) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 and come into force at 10.00 p.m. on 29th March 2019.
2. In regulation 1 of the Childcare (Miscellaneous Amendments) (EU Exit) (England) Regulations 2018(2) for “at 11.00 p.m. on 29th March 2019” substitute “on exit day”.

These Regulations amend regulation 1 of the Childcare (Miscellaneous Amendments) (EU Exit) (England) Regulations 2018. The amendment changes the commencement date of those Regulations from 11.00 p.m. on 29th March 2019 to exit day (as defined in section 20 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (c. 16)).
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sector is foreseen.
2006 c. 21. Section 84 was amended by section 84 of, and paragraphs 32 and 54 of Schedule 4 to the Children and Families Act 2014 (c. 6) (hereafter referred to as “the 2014 Act”). Section 84A was inserted by section 84 of, and paragraphs 32 and 55 of Schedule 4 to the 2014 Act. Section 90 was amended by section 84 of, and paragraphs 32 and 59 of Schedule 4 to the 2014 Act.
