Amendment of Council Decision 2000/375/JHA4

Council Decision 2000/375/JHA of 29 May 2000 to combat child pornography on the internet is amended as follows.

In Article 1—
a
in paragraph 1—
i
for “Within the framework of Decision No 276/1999/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and in” substitute “In”;
ii
for “Member States” substitute “the Secretary of State”;
b
in paragraph 2 omit “, and taking account of the administrative structure of each Member State,”;
c
in paragraph 3 for “Member States” substitute “The Secretary of State”.

In Article 3—
a
in the paragraph before sub-paragraph (a)—
i
for “Member States” in the first place where it occurs substitute “The Secretary of State”;
ii
omit the second sentence;
iii
for “they” in the last sentence substitute “the Secretary of State”;
b
in sub-paragraph (c), omit “in accordance with the Council resolution of 17 January 1995 on the lawful interception of telecommunications”.
