4. In the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006—
(a)in section 131 (payment of travelling expenses)(1), omit paragraph (a)(iii) and the “or” preceding it;
(b)in section 206 (interpretation), omit the definition of “Regulation (EC) No. 883/2004”(2) so far as it relates to section 131(a)(iii).

Explanatory Memorandum
Explanatory Memorandum sets out a brief statement of the purpose of a Statutory Instrument and provides information about its policy objective and policy implications. They aim to make the Statutory Instrument accessible to readers who are not legally qualified and accompany any Statutory Instrument or Draft Statutory Instrument laid before Parliament from June 2004 onwards.
