This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 60, 61, 77 and 101 of, and Parts 2 and 3 of Schedule 13 to, the Civil Aviation Act 1982(1).
Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, orders as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 2019 and comes into force on 8th May 2019.
2.—(1) The Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 2013(2) is amended as follows.
(2) In Schedule 6—
(a)omit the entry for Anguilla;
(b)before the entry for “Bermuda” insert “Anguilla”.
Richard Tilbrook
Clerk of the Privy Council
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 2013 (“the 2013 Order”) to the effect that Anguilla is an overseas territory to which the 2013 Order applies.
The overseas territories to which the 2013 Order applies are listed in Schedule 6 to the 2013 Order. Schedule 6 includes a reference to Anguilla, but this was defective as most of the powers under which the 2013 Order were made had not been extended to Anguilla. This Order therefore inserts identical provision made under provisions of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 which have been extended to Anguilla by the Civil Aviation Act 1982 (Anguilla) Order 2019 (S.I. 2019/756). By way of incidental provision, it also revokes the existing defective reference.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen. An Explanatory Memorandum has been published alongside this Order and is available with this Order on www.legislation.gov.uk.
