Amendment of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2012

2. The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2012(1) are amended by substituting in regulation 3(1) the following for the definition of “the Verification Regulation”—
““the Verification Regulation” means—
(a)
in relation to emissions occurring on or after 1st January 2019, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/2067 of 19 December 2018 on the verification of data and on the accreditation of verifiers pursuant to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as amended from time to time;
(b)
in relation to emissions occurring prior to 1st January 2019, Commission Regulation (EU) No 600/2012 of 21 June 2012 on the verification of greenhouse gas emission reports and tonne-kilometre reports and the accreditation of verifiers pursuant to Directive 2003/87/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as amended from time to time;”.
