The “relevant person” for the purposes of paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 6 to the 1996 Act8.
For the purposes of paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 6 to the 1996 Act (police appeals tribunals)20, “relevant person” means—
(a)
the local policing body for—
(i)
the police force of which a police officer who wishes to appeal to a tribunal, or the appellant (where the appellant is a police officer), is a member, or
(ii)
the police force for the police area for which—
(aa)
a police officer who wishes to appeal to a tribunal, or
(bb)
the appellant (where the appellant is a police officer),
is appointed as a special constable, or
(b)
where the body referred to in paragraph (a) has, under rule 7, delegated functions in relation to the administration of the appeal to another local policing body, that other body.
