8.—(1) Commission Regulation (EC) No 865/2006 laying down detailed rules concerning the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 338/97 on the protection of species of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade therein, is amended as follows.

(2) In Article 1—

(a)in point (4a)—

(i)omit “competent”, in the first place it occurs;

(ii)for “a competent scientific authority of the Member State concerned” substitute “the competent scientific authority of the United Kingdom”;
