Where these Regulations amend any provision of retained direct EU legislation which, on or after IP completion day, enables, or may be used to make regulations which enable, the presentation or other use of a document in “the form published by the appropriate authority from time to time”, that amendment does not preclude a document in the form specified in retained direct EU legislation, as it had effect immediately before IP completion day, from being presented or otherwise used, on or after IP completion day, in connection with official controls carried out during the transitional staging period.
