Offshore Petroleum Activities (Conservation of Habitats) Regulations 2001 U.K.

1.  In regulation 4(3)(b) of the Offshore Petroleum Activities (Conservation of Habitats) Regulations 2001 M1 , after “Regulations 1999” insert “ or the Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration, Production, Unloading and Storage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2020 ”.

Offshore Chemicals Regulations 2002 U.K.

2.—(1) The Offshore Chemicals Regulations 2002 M2 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2, omit the definition of “relevant project”.

(3) In regulation 7(2), for paragraph (a) substitute—

“(a) in connection with a project for which the Secretary of State serves a direction that an environmental impact assessment is not required pursuant to regulation 6 of the Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration, Production, Unloading and Storage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2020 or regulation 6 of the Offshore Petroleum Production and Pipe-lines (Assessment of Environmental Effects) Regulations 1999;”.

3.  In regulation 5A(5) of the Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2005 M3 , for paragraph (a) substitute—

“(a) in connection with a project for which the Secretary of State serves a direction that an environmental impact assessment is not required pursuant to regulation 6 of the Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration, Production, Unloading and Storage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2020 or regulation 6 of the Offshore Petroleum Production and Pipe-lines (Assessment of Environmental Effects) Regulations 1999;”.

Conservation of Offshore Marine Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 U.K.

6.—(1) The Conservation of Offshore Marine Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 M6 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2, in the definition of “Petroleum or Energy Act consent”, after “Regulations 1999” insert “ or the Offshore Oil and Gas Exploration, Production, Unloading and Storage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2020 ”.

(3) In regulation 28(7), after “Secretary of State”, insert “ or the agreement to the grant ”.
