The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34(5) and 67F(4) of the Courts Act 2003(1) and section 29D(4) of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007(2), having consulted the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales and the Senior President of Tribunals, makes the following Regulations.

In accordance with section 108(3)(b) of the Courts Act 2003(3) and section 49(6)(aa) of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007(4), a draft of these Regulations has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.

Section 34(5) of this Act was amended by the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (c. 4), Schedule 4, paragraph 329, and by the Courts and Tribunals (Judiciary and Functions of Staff) Act 2018 (c. 33) (“the 2018 Act”), Schedule, paragraph 29. Section 67F was inserted by the 2018 Act, Schedule, paragraph 32.
