Where in consequence of the proposed construction of any part of the authorised development, the promoter or National Grid requires the removal of apparatus under paragraph 24(2) or National Grid makes requirements for the protection or alteration of apparatus under paragraph 26, the promoter must use its best endeavours to co-ordinate the execution of the works in the interests of safety and the efficient and economic execution of the authorised development and taking into account the need to ensure the safe and efficient operation of National Grid’s undertaking and National Grid must use its best endeavours to co-operate with the promoter for that purpose.

For the avoidance of doubt whenever National Grid’s consent, agreement or approval is required in relation to plans, documents or other information submitted by the promoter or the taking of action by the promoter, it must not be unreasonably withheld or delayed.
