The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by articles 3 to 6 of the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution by Sewage and Garbage) Order 2006(1), articles 2(1), (2)(a) to (g), (3) and 3 of the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Law of the Sea Convention) Order 1996(2) and sections 128(5), 128(6), 302(1) and 306A of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995(3), and with the consent of the Treasury(4), makes the following Regulations.
1995 c. 21; there are amendments to section 128 which are not relevant to these Regulations. Section 306A was inserted by the Deregulation Act 2015 (c. 20), section 106.
The consent of the Treasury is required to make these Regulations under section 302(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 (c. 21).
