The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 45B, 45F(2) and 45P(2) of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984(1).

Citation and commencement provision

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 11th July 2020.

Amendment of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 and transitional and saving provision

2.—(1) The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020(2) (“the principal Regulations”) are amended as follows.

(2) In Part 1 of Schedule A1 (exempt countries and territories), omit “Serbia”.

(3) In relation to any person who arrived in England on 10th July 2020, the principal Regulations apply as if the amendment made by paragraph (2) had not been made.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 to remove Serbia from the list of exempt countries or territories, for persons arriving from which there is no requirement to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival in England.
