Coming into force
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8(1) of and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 20181, makes the following Regulations.
The requirements of paragraph 3(2) of Schedule 7 to that Act (relating to the appropriate Parliamentary procedure for these Regulations) have been satisfied.

These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Amendment) Regulations 2021.

These Regulations come into force on 3rd December 2021.

These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.
Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19922
In section 148 of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 19922 (Entitlement of pensioners to Christmas bonus), in subsection (1)(a), for “or a member State” substitute “, an EEA state or Switzerland”.
