Obstruction of officers16.
(1)
Any person who—
(a)
intentionally obstructs or threatens an officer of the Council acting in pursuance of the performance of their functions;
(b)
without reasonable excuse fails to give such an officer any information (including their name, address, telephone number and email address) which the officer may require for the purpose of the performance of their functions,
shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.
(2)
Any person who in giving such information makes a statement which they know to be false shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.
