Where in consequence of the proposed construction of any of the authorised works, the promoter or an undertaker requires the removal of apparatus under paragraph 17(2) or an undertaker makes requirements for the protection or alteration of apparatus under paragraph 19, the promoter must use its reasonable endeavours to co-ordinate the execution of the works in the interests of safety and the efficient and economic execution of the authorised development and taking into account the need to ensure the safe and efficient operation of National Grid’s undertaking and National Grid must use its reasonable endeavours to co-operate with the promoter for that purpose.

For the avoidance of doubt whenever the undertaker’s consent, agreement or approval to is required in relation to plans, documents or other information submitted by National Grid or the taking of action by National Grid, it must not be unreasonably withheld or delayed.
