1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information Regulations 2021.
(2) The following provisions come into force on 1st July 2021—
(a)regulations 3 to 14;
(b)regulations 33 to 38;
(c)regulations 45 to 50;
(d)regulation 54(3)(a);
(e)Schedules 1 to 5;
(f)Schedules 16 to 18;
(g)Schedules 22 to 28;
(h)paragraphs 1 and 6 of Schedule 29, and regulation 56 in so far as it relates to those paragraphs.
(3) The remainder of these Regulations come into force the day after the day on which they are made.
(4) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, and Scotland.
2.—(1) In these Regulations—
“the 2010 Regulations” means the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010;
“the Framework Regulation” means Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council setting a framework for energy labelling;
“the WEEE Directive” means Directive 2012/19/EU(1) of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste electrical and electronic equipment, as it had effect immediately before 4th July 2018, and as read in accordance with regulation 2A of the WEEE Regulations;
“the WEEE Regulations” means the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013(2).
