Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section 19(1) of the Education Act 20051 is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Education (Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales) Order 2021 and comes into force on 1st August 2021.

Appointment of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru

Claire Morgan is appointed as Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru in accordance with articles 3 and 4.

The first day of the appointment is 1st August 2021.

The last day of the appointment is 31st December 2021.

Revocation5

The Education (Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales) Order 2020 is revoked2.

This Order appoints Claire Morgan as Her Majesty’s Inspector of Education and Training in Wales, or Prif Arolygydd Ei Mawrhydi dros Addysg a Hyfforddiant yng Nghymru between 1st August 2021 and 31st December 2021. The Education (Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales) Order 2020 is revoked.
