Damages cap2.

The amount specified for the purposes of section 39(2A) (court reviews: cap on damages) of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 is £10,000.

Paragraph (1) does not apply where the court considers that it is necessary to disapply that paragraph because failure to do so would be a breach of the appropriate person’s4 Convention rights (within the meaning of the Human Rights Act 19985).
