The Lord Chancellor makes the following Regulations, in exercise of the power conferred by section 8(8) of the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020(1).
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 (Commencement) Regulations 2022.
2. The Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 comes into force on 6th April 2022 in so far as it is not already in force.

These Regulations bring into force on the 6th April 2022 those provisions of the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 (c. 11) which are not already into force. Sections 6(2) to (7), 7 to 9 came into force on Royal Assent.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
