Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 38 of Regulation (EU) No 576/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the non-commercial movement of pet animals1.
In accordance with Article 39(7) of that Regulation2, before making these Regulations, the Secretary of State has consulted such bodies or persons as appear to the Secretary of State to be representative of the interests likely to be substantially affected by these Regulations and such other bodies or persons as the Secretary of State considered appropriate.
