Savings provision

3.—(1) Despite article 2, the School Admission Appeals Code 2012 continues to have effect, as it had effect immediately before 1st October 2022, in relation to an appeal pursuant to section 94 or 95 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998(1) which is lodged before 1st October 2022.

(2) In paragraph (1), “School Admission Appeals Code 2012” means the revised code issued by the Secretary of State under section 84(5) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998, a copy of a draft of which was laid before each House of Parliament on 1st December 2011 and which came into force on 1st February 2012(2).

Section 95 was amended by paragraph 9 of Schedule 4 to the Education Act 2002 (c. 32), section 48 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 (c. 40), paragraph 67 of Schedule 1 to the Education and Skills Act 2008 (c. 25), paragraph 4 of Schedule 3 to the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011 (nawm 4), and S.I. 2010/1158.
