Amendment to the Bail Act 1976
2.—(1) In section 6(7) of the Bail Act 1976(1), for “the general limit in a magistrates’ court” substitute “12 months”.
(2) In Part 1 of the Schedule to the Judicial Review and Courts Act 2022 (Magistrates’ Court Sentencing Powers) Regulations 2023(2) the entry relating to section 6(7) of the Bail Act 1976 is revoked.
