Duration of a certificate13.
(1)
A certificate issued under these Regulations is valid until the end of the date specified on that certificate.
(2)
The date specified under paragraph (1) must be—
(a)
in the case of a certificate issued following a compliance survey, a date not exceeding five years beginning with the date on which that survey is completed;
(b)
in the case of a certificate issued following a renewal survey—
(i)
where the renewal survey is completed more than three months before expiry of the existing certificate, a date not not more than five years beginning with the date of the renewal survey;
(ii)
where the renewal survey is completed within a period of three months before expiry of the existing certificate, a date not more than five years beginning with the expiration date of the existing certificate;
(iii)
where the renewal survey is completed after expiry of the existing certificate, a date not more than five years beginning with the date on which that existing certificate expired.
