Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(5) and (7) of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 (“the Act”)1.
The Secretary of State has consulted in accordance with section 29(4) of the Act.
In accordance with section 29(5) and (7) of the Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
Citation, commencement and extent1

These Regulations may be cited as the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 (Risk of Being Drawn into Terrorism) (Revised Guidance) Regulations 2023.

These Regulations come into force on 31st December 2023.

These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.
Revised guidance under section 292
The “Prevent duty guidance: Guidance for specified authorities in England and Wales” issued by the Secretary of State on 7th September 2023 in accordance with section 29(6) of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 takes effect on the day on which this regulation comes into force.
