The Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2023

Coming into force
The Treasury make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 83(1), 83(2) and 84(2) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 20231.
In accordance with sections 83(3), 84(3) and 84(5) of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
PART 1Introduction
Citation, commencement and extent1

These Regulations may be cited as the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (Consequential Amendments) Regulations 2023.

These Regulations come into force on 1st January 2024.

These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
PART 2Amendment of Primary Legislation
Financial Services and Markets Act 20002

The Financial Services and Markets Act 20002 is amended as follows.

In section 55J (variation or cancellation on initiative of regulator)3—
