Coming into force

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8(7) and 24(5) of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (“the Act”)1.

In accordance with section 24(4) of the Act2, before making these Regulations, the Secretary of State consulted the Scottish Ministers, the Department of Justice in Northern Ireland and the Security Industry Authority.
