This Statutory Instrument has been made in part to correct errors in S.I. 1998/2070, S.I. 2021/592, S.I. 2021/1316 and S.I. 2022/1169 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of those Statutory Instruments.

Coming into force
The Secretary of State, after consulting the persons referred to in section 86(4) of the Merchant Shipping Act 19951, and in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 85(1), (3) and (5) to (7), 86(1)(a), (b), (c) and (d), 302(1) and 306A of that Act, article 2 of the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution) (Law of the Sea Convention) Order 19962, and article 2 of the Merchant Shipping (Control of Pollution) (SOLAS) Order 19983, and with the consent of the Treasury, makes the following Regulations.
