The undertaker may acquire compulsorily so much of the Order land as is required for the authorised project, or to facilitate it, or as is incidental to it.

This article is subject to article 20 (time limit for exercise of authority to acquire land compulsorily), article 21(2) (compulsory acquisition of rights etc.), article 25 (acquisition of subsoil only), article 27 (rights under or over streets), article 28 (temporary use of land for carrying out the authorised project) article 43 (crown rights) and Schedule 9 (protective provisions).
