Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2A(1)(a) of the Poisons Act 19721 (“the 1972 Act”).
In determining the distribution of substances as between the various Parts of Schedule 1A2 to the 1972 Act, the Secretary of State has had regard to the desirability of restricting Parts 3 and 4 to substances that meet the criteria provided by section 2A(3) of that Act.
