2. In this Order—
“the floating bridge” has the meaning given to that expression in section 2 of the Dartmouth-Kingswear Floating Bridge Act 1988(1);
“goods vehicles” means a motor vehicle or trailer constructed or adapted for use for the carriage or haulage of goods or burden of any description;
“maximum authorised mass” means the “maximum gross weight” indicated upon the plate required to be attached to the vehicle by regulations 66 or 70 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986(2);
“passenger vehicle” means a vehicle constructed solely for the carriage of passengers and their effects.
