26. Reference in section 1(2)(a) of the Estate Agents Act 1979(1) (estate agency work) to a practising solicitor is to be read as including reference to a Swiss qualified lawyer on the Law Society’s register of Swiss lawyers providing professional services in accordance with rules made under section 31 of the Solicitors Act 1974 or section 9 of the Administration of Justice Act 1985.
1979 c. 38. There are amendments to section 1(2)(a) but none is relevant.
