Amendment of maternity allowance legislation

7.—(1) In paragraph 7BB of Schedule 1 to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(1)—

(a) in sub-paragraph (1) omit “either liable or”, and

(b) in sub-paragraph (2)(b)—

(i) omit paragraph (i), and

(ii) in paragraph (ii) omit “otherwise,”.

(2) In paragraph 7BB of Schedule 1 to the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992(2)—

(a) in sub-paragraph (1) omit “either liable or”, and

(b) in sub-paragraph (2)(b)—

(i) omit paragraph (i), and

(ii) in paragraph (ii) omit “otherwise,”.

(3) In regulation 90ZA of the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 2001(3)—

(a) in paragraph (2) omit “liable or”, and

(b) in paragraph (3)(b)—

(i) omit paragraph (i), and

(ii) in paragraph (ii) omit “otherwise,”.
