1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Digital Government (Disclosure of Information) (Identity Verification Services) Regulations 2024 and come into force 21 days after the day on which they are made.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.
(3) In these Regulations—
(a)“the Act” means the Digital Economy Act 2017;
(b)“digital identity verification service” means an electronic process for confirming the identity of an individual by checking information provided by that individual against information held by another person.
