Coming into force

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 17(1), 45 and 48(1) of the Food Safety Act 19901 which are now exercisable in relation to Wales by the National Assembly for Wales2, after consultation in accordance with section 48(4) of that Act with such organisations as appear to be representative of interests likely to be substantially affected by these Regulations; and (in so far as these Regulations impose charges in relation to the monitoring of the requirements of the Welfare of Animals (Slaughter or Killing) Regulations 19953), being designated4 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 5 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community,the National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations:
