Signed on behalf of the National Assembly for Wales under section 66(1) of the Government of Wales Act 199881

D. Elis-ThomasThe Presiding Officer of the National Assembly

(This note is not part of the Order)

The Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 received Royal Assent on 22 July 2004 and most of its provisions were commenced in Wales on 10th November 2004. This Order makes consequential amendments predominantly to secondary legislation in relation to Wales — in particular by updating existing references to “fire authorities”, “fire brigades” and “the Fire Services Act 1947”.

A regulatory appraisal has been produced for this instrument and may be obtained from the Social Justice and Regeneration Department, National Assembly for Wales, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3NQ.
