Housing Benefit (General) Regulations 1987E+W
16.—(1) The Housing Benefit (General) Regulations 1987(1) are amended as follows.
(2) After paragraph 6(1)(a) of Schedule 3 (sums to be disregarded in the calculation of earnings), insert—
“(aa)a part-time fire-fighter employed by a fire and rescue authority;”.
(3) After paragraph 3(2)(a) of Schedule 3A (sums disregarded from claimant’s earnings), insert—
“(aa)as a part-time fire-fighter employed by a fire and rescue authority;”.

S.I. 1987/1971; relevant amendments were made by S.I. 1993/317 and 2000/2545. S.I. 1987/1971 was modified, in its application to persons described in regulation 2 of the Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit (State Pension Credit) Regulations 2003 (S.I. 2003/325) applies, by the insertion of Schedule 3A by regulation 21 of, and Schedule 2 to, those Regulations.
