The Council Tax Benefit (General) Regulations 199228 are amended as follows.

After paragraph 6(1)(a) of Schedule 3 (sums to be disregarded in the calculation of earnings), insert—
aa
a part-time fire-fighter employed by a fire and rescue authority;

After paragraph 3(2)(a) of Schedule 3A (sums disregarded from claimant’s earnings), insert—
aa
as a part-time fire-fighter employed by a fire and rescue authority;
