Following a risk assessment, the Assembly Secretary must, if he or she considers it necessary to reduce the risk of transmission of avian influenza, vaccinate or require the vaccination of susceptible birds in zoos.

If vaccination is not carried out by the Assembly Secretary, it must be carried out in accordance with instructions issued by him or her.
