Application of fertilisers and waste to land set aside for the provision of non-food crops

A farmer may only apply fertiliser or waste to land set aside for the provision of non-food crops so far as —

(a)it is necessary to do so in order to ensure the proper growth of the crops; and

(b)the manner of application is consistent with the Code of Good Agricultural Practice for the Protection of Water approved by the Water (Prevention of Pollution) (Code of Practice) Order 1998(1).
