Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio ymhellach Reoliadau Addysg (Cymorth Lleoedd) (Mân Dreuliau) 1997 (“Rheoliadau 1997”).
Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn gymwys o ran cwestiynau perthnasol sy'n codi mewn cysylltiad â blwyddyn ysgol 2007/08 ac sydd heb eu penderfynu ar y dyddiad y daw'r Rheoliadau hyn i rym. Cwestiwn perthnasol yw cwestiwn sy'n ymwneud â hawl rhiant o dan 1997 Regulations i gael grant mewn cysylltiad â mân dreuliau sy'n gysylltiedig ag addysg plentyn a gynorthwyir mewn ysgol annibynnol.
Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio'r prawf moddion (a ddisgrifir yn rheoliad 2 o 1997 Regulations) ar gyfer penderfynu cymhwysedd i gael grant gwisg ysgol ac yn cynyddu swm y grant sy'n daladwy mewn cysylltiad â gwariant ar ddillad a dynnir yn y flwyddyn ysgol 2007/08. Mae £86 (yn lle £83 fel o'r blaen) yn daladwy pan na fo'r incwm perthnasol yn uwch na £12,864 (yn lle 12,470) ac mae £44 (yn lle £43) yn daladwy pan fo'r incwm perthnasol yn uwch na'r ffigur hwnnw ond nid yn uwch na £13,861 (yn lle £13,431).
Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio hefyd y prawf moddion (a ddisgrifir yn rheoliad 4 o 1997 Regulations) ar gyfer penderfynu cymhwysedd i gael grant teithio ac yn cynyddu swm y grant sy'n daladwy mewn cysylltiad â gwariant teithio ysgol mewn perthynas â'r flwyddyn ysgol 2007/08. Pan na fo'r incwm perthnasol yn uwch na £12,877 (yn lle £12,473), bydd unrhyw grant teithio yn swm sy'n hafal i'r gwariant teithio ysgol y mae'n ymwneud ag ef. Pan fo'r incwm perthnasol yn uwch na'r swm hwnnw, y grant teithio fydd y swm, os bydd un, y bydd y gwariant teithio ysgol y mae'n ymwneud ag ef yn uwch na swm (wedi ei dalgrynnu i lawr i'r lluosrif agosaf o £3) sy'n hafal i un rhan o ddeuddeg o'r rhan honno o'r incwm perthnasol sy'n uwch na £12,698 (yn hytrach na £12,304).
