The Welsh Ministers make the following regulations in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 2(2) and (4), 101 and 146(1) and (2) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996(1) and section 26(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993(2) and now vested in them so far as exercisable in relation to Wales:
1.—(1) The title of these Regulations is the Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Revocation) (Wales) Regulations 2011 and they come onto force on 7 July 2011.
(2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.
2. The instruments listed in column 1 of the table below (which have the references listed in column 2) are revoked to the extent indicated in column 3:

These Regulations revoke in relation to Wales the Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/2891) and the Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Welsh Form and Particulars) Regulations 1998 (S.I. 1998/1113). The 1996 and 1998 Regulations prescribed an English and Welsh form for applications for grants under Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (for assistance from local housing authorities to the cost of works required for the provision of facilities for disabled persons in certain dwellings).
These Regulations also make the following consequential revocations in relation to Wales:
1. regulation 4 of The Housing Renewal Grants and Home Repair Assistance (Amendment) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/3119);
2. The Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 (S.I. 1997/978);
3. The Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 (S.I. 1998/809);
4. The Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 (S.I. 1999/1607);
5. The Housing Renewal Grants (Prescribed Form and Particulars) (Welsh Form and Particulars) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 (S.I. 1999/2316);

1996 c. 53. The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 2(2) and (4), 101 and 146(1) and (2), so far as exercisable in relation to Wales, were transferred to the National Assembly for Wales by article 2 of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672); see the entry for the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 in Schedule 1 to that Order. By virtue of paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c. 32) the functions formerly exercisable by the National Assembly for Wales are now vested in the Welsh Ministers. Amendments have been made to the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 that are not relevant to these Regulations.
1993 c. 38. The National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672), article 2(b) and Schedule 1, directed that the power in section 26(3) of the Welsh Language Act 1993 be exercisable, in relation to Wales, by the National Assembly for Wales constituted by the Government of Wales Act 1998 (c. 38) concurrently with any Minister of the Crown by whom the power was exercisable. The power was transferred from that Assembly to the Welsh Ministers by virtue of section 162(3) of, and paragraph 30(1) of Schedule 11 to, the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c. 32).
