The Badger (Control Area) (Wales) (Revocation) Order 2012

Coming into force

The Welsh Ministers,

being no longer satisfied that it is necessary to destroy wild members of the badger species within the control area specified within the Badger (Control Area) (Wales) Order 2011 in order to eliminate or substantially reduce the incidence of tuberculosis in animals of any kind within that area, and

after consultation with the Countryside Council for Wales in accordance with section 21(3) of the Animal Health Act 19811 in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 21(2), (4) and (5) and 86(1) of the Animal Health Act 19812, make the following Order:

The title of this Order is the Badger (Control Area) (Wales) (Revocation) Order 2012.

This Order comes into force on 15 June 2012.

Revocation2

The Badger (Control Area) (Wales) Order 20113 is revoked.
