Title, application, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) The title of these Regulations is the Plant Health (Fees) (Wales) Regulations 2012. They apply in relation to Wales and come into force on 6 July 2012.
(2) In these Regulations—
(a)“the Directive” (“y Gyfarwyddeb”) means Council Directive 2000/29/EC on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community(1); and
(b)“the PHO” (“y GIP”) means the Plant Health (Wales) Order 2006(2).
(3) Terms used in these Regulations which are also used in the Directive have the meaning they have in the Directive.
