Coming into force

The Welsh Ministers being designated1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19722 in relation to the common agricultural policy of the EU, make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.

Title, application and commencement1

The title of these Regulations is the Beef and Pig Carcase Classification (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

These Regulations come into force on 18 April 2012.

Interpretation2

In these Regulations, “the 2011 Regulations” (“Rheoliadau 2011”) means the Beef and Pig Carcase Classification (Wales) Regulations 20113.

Amendment of regulation 2(1) of the 2011 Regulations3

In regulation 2(1) of the 2011 Regulations, in the Welsh text, after the definition of “darpariaeth eidion Ewropeaidd” (“European beef provision”), insert—

  • ystyr “darpariaeth moch Ewropeaidd” (“European pig provision”) yw darpariaeth a bennir yng ngholofn 2 o Atodlen 2, y disgrifir ei chynnwys yng ngholofn 3 o'r Atodlen honno;

These Regulations amend the Beef and Pig Carcase Classification (Wales) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1826 (W.198)) (“the 2011 Regulations”).

Specifically these Regulations amend section 2(1) in the Welsh text of the 2011 Regulations to insert a definition of “darpariaeth moch Ewropeaidd” (“European pig provision”).
