Coming into force
The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7, 8 and 9 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 20091, make the following Regulations:
Title, commencement and application1

The title of these Regulations is the Apprenticeships (Issue of Apprenticeship Certificates) (Wales) Regulations 2013 and they come into force on 23 June 2013.

These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.
Interpretation2
In these Regulations, "the Act" ("y Ddeddf") means the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009.
Manner of applying for an apprenticeship certificate3
For the purposes of applying for an apprenticeship certificate under sections 7 and 8 of the Act, a person must make an application in writing.
Fees for the issue of an apprenticeship certificate4

The Welsh certifying authority2 is authorised to charge the person applying for an apprenticeship certificate a fee for the issue of an apprenticeship certificate.

The amount of the fee which theWelsh certifying authority may charge for issuing an apprenticeship certificate must not exceed £30, or the cost incurred by the Welsh certifying authority of issuing the apprenticeship certificate, whichever amount is lower.
Supply of copies of apprenticeship certificates5

TheWelsh certifying authority must supply a copy of an apprenticeship certificate to the person issued with the original of the apprenticeship certificate where an application is made in writing by that person to the Welsh certifying authority.

The Welsh certifying authority is authorised to charge a fee for supplying a copy of an apprenticeship certificate.

The amount of the fee which the Welsh certifying authority may charge for supplying a copy of an apprenticeship certificate must not exceed £30, or the cost incurred by the Welsh certifying authority of supplying the apprenticeship certificate, whichever amount is lower.
