The Apprenticeships (Designation of Welsh Certifying Authority) Order 2013

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 10(1)(b) and (3), and section 262(3) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 20091, make the following Order:

Title, commencement and application1.

The title of this Order is the Apprenticeships (Designation of Welsh Certifying Authority) Order 2013 and it comes into force on 23 June 2013.

This Order applies in relation to Wales.

Designation ofWelsh Certifying Authority2.

Pursuant to section 10(1)(b) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils is designated the 'Welsh certifying authority' to issue apprenticeship certificates generally.

This Order, made under section 10 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 ("the Act"), designates the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils as the 'Welsh certifying authority' to issue apprenticeship certificates generally.

The Order forms part of the implementation of the statutory apprenticeships programme in Part 1 of Chapter 1 of the Act.
