Title, commencement and application1.

The title of these Regulations is the National Health Service (Welfare Reform Consequential Amendments) (Wales) Regulations 2016 and they come into force on 1 April 2016.

These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

Interpretation2.

In these Regulations—

“the 1986 Regulations” (“Rheoliadau 1986”) means the National Health Service (General Ophthalmic Services) Regulations 19862;
“the 1997 Regulations” (“Rheoliadau 1997”) means the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) Regulations 19973; and
“the 2007 Regulations” (“Rheoliadau 2007”) means the National Health Service (Travelling Expenses and Remission of Charges) (Wales) Regulations 20074.

Amendment of the 1986 Regulations3.

In regulation 13(2)(q) of the 1986 Regulations for “31 March 2016” substitute “31 March 2017”.

Amendment of the 1997 Regulations4.

In regulation 8(3)(q) of the 1997 Regulations for “31 March 2016” substitute “31 March 2017”.

Amendment of the 2007 Regulations5.

In regulation 5(1)(aa) of the 2007 Regulations for “31 March 2016” substitute “31 March 2017”.

Revocation6.

The National Health Service (Welfare Reform Consequential Amendments) (Wales) Regulations 20155 are revoked.
